Australia Zoo
Located in Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast just a 60 minute drive from Brisbane Australia Zoo is a diamond which simply should not be missed! With the Irwin family deeply involved in conservation projects this Zoo is an credit to the memory of the late Steve Irwin. With a wide selection of animals from across the world including Australian national treasures such as koalas, wombats, possums, dingoes and kangaroos the zoo was pretty magical.

Zoo keepers and volunteers stage some spectacular shows including Tortoises and Otters Live, Koalas Live and Tiger Talk Live which were all amazing to witness. Wildlife Warriors at the Crocoseum, with its creation being Steve Irwin’s lifelong dream, ensure that everyone is thoroughly entertained and informed. The wide-ranging conservation projects and wildlife encounters were really impressive, and I enjoyed learning so much about the animals there from the native Australian animals to commonly recognised animals from around the world such as giraffes and monkeys. The Irwin family really have done an amazing job honouring Steve Irwin’s legacy.
